Workplace Safety North was formed in 2010 by the amalgamation of three safety associations:
- Mines and Aggregates Safety and Health Association (MASHA)
- Ontario Forestry Safe Workplace Association (OFSWA)
- Pulp and Paper Health and Safety Association (PPHSA)
WSN is an independent not-for-profit organization, funded by a portion of the dues our member workplaces pay to the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board. Our members are all companies in Ontario's mining, forestry, paper, printing and converting sectors. We also provide service to businesses in all sectors across Northern Ontario.
WSN is governed by a representative board of directors, and receives valuable input from our volunteer advisory committees.
